You might think the warming temperatures of spring signify the demise of Breck’s winter sport season. On the contrary, Mother Nature usually provides plenty of snow in March and April.
Spring brings sunny days, great skiing and spectacular boarding to look forward to during your next stay at Lodge by The Blue.
In fact, he arrival of spring is widely celebrated in Breckenridge. “Spring Fever” is here, and that means it’s time for sipping delectable ales backdropped by the grand Rocky Mountains.
Breckenridge Beer Festival, Saturday April 7
Americans love their brews, so finding an event dedicated to this liquid gold may not be overly complicated. However, Breck’s Spring Beer Festival makes it very simple for visitors to sample the offerings. Unlike similar festivals that make you buy coins (do you ever even know how many coins you need?) you can buy one of these convenient ticket options:
- VIP Experience – $75 pre-sale or $90 on the day of the event
- Unlimited Tasting – $35 pre-sale or $45 on the day of the event
- VIP Designated Driver – $35
The VIP packages have been upgraded for 2018, and this will take the exclusive experience inside Italian eatery Sauce on the Maggie. Benefits of this ticket option are unlimited tastings with full-size pours and limited-edition beers (not for the designated driver of course), private bathrooms and multiple patios with beautiful views.
The Designated Driver ticket, like the regular VIP ticket, includes a catered lunch with snacks and desserts. You can also enjoy live music and take home a collector’s mug after the event.
What About the Beer?
At this time, 34 breweries are confirmed, and there are more to follow. Most of these are from Colorado, as you would expect. Storm Peak, Mama’s Bear Brews, Alpine Dog and Crazy Mountain are just a few of the names that will represent Colorado. You can also look forward to breweries from Kansas City, Missouri, Hood River, Oregon, San Diego, California and Bloomington, Illinois. There will even be a few international visitors, such as Guinness from Ireland and Sapporo from Japan.
Beer, music, food and mountain views are a recipe for a wonderful day in Breckenridge, and you might even find a new favorite brew.
To Be Announced
The Spring Beer Festival is only a few weeks away, but keep an eye on the event website for updates on food and retail vendors, as well as additional breweries.
Regardless of how you experience spring in Breck, Lodge by The Blue offers a welcoming retreat for all guests!
