Spring and summer in Breckenridge means more hiking, more biking and more beer. The pleasant temps make it the perfect time to take your own personalized bar crawl down the iconic Main street.
If you’re staying at Lodge by The Blue, ask the staff for transportation options so you can get downtown and get to having a good time. Here are some of the places you can hit along the way,
The Main Street Drag
Downstairs at Eric’s
One of Breck’s best sports bars, Eric’s has 29 HDTVs, 25 arcade games, 30 beers on tap and 50 beers in the bottle. The restaurant is known for its great pizza, including gluten-free options.
The Canteen Tap House & Tavern
Hearty food is a must for ski enthusiasts (and bar crawlers). The extensive burger menu alone will give you more choices than you know what to do with. Then enjoy the $10 Canteen Cup Cocktails menu.
Feel fancy at the beautiful mahogany bar at Modis. The craft cocktails have a $12 price tag, but these works of art are worth it. The fine wine list is also worth checking out along with artful food creations that taste as good as they look.
Enjoy the view over the Blue River Plaza. Relish’s famous “Beer Cellar” has rare beer bottles from near and far. During happy hour enjoy a two for $10 and two for $12 on locally inspired cuisine from the kitchen.
Park & Main
Kick off a daytime pub crawl or just go to enjoy a fantastic breakfast. Park & Main is open all day and is famous for breakfast and tasty brunch cocktails.
If you’re still out late, Liquid is the perfect place to finish your crawl. Breck’s only rave bar, they have DJs seven days a week with daily drink and shot specials. Open from 7 p.m. – 2 a.m.
For the Juggernauts
Feel like venturing off the Main Street path? There are some great places for food and drink south of downtown.
Broken Compass Brewery
Breck’s newest brewery features a mixture of classic styles, like Helles and IPA, but also some interesting tastes such as the Ginger Pale Ale and a Coconut Porter. Find food trucks nearby on weekends or join the locals in the Monday night potluck dinner. Follow them on Facebook for more food deals.
Breckenridge Distillery & Restaurant
It’s not only the world’s highest distillery (9,600 feet above sea level), Breckenridge Distillery has developed exceptional award-winning spirits including the classic Breckenridge Bourbon and Breckenridge Vodka (probably available at your local liquor store).
They recently opened a restaurant featuring fine dining and shareable plates. You can also check out their downtown tasting room located at 137 S. Main St. open from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
Never Leave Camp
Of course, you can also enjoy libations and fine dining at Myla Rose Saloon right inside Lodge by The Blue. Myla Rose has local beer, spirits and hand-crafted cocktails along with a mouthwatering menu of apps and entrees. If you want to brag about how high you are, Myla Rose is more than 10,000 feet above sea level.
There you have it. Plenty of ways to build your own bar crawl while sampling the fine food and beverages Breck has to offer.
